Fresh Paint: Baby Rose's Wave

Happy Monday, my friends! And Happy Valentine's Day! I'll be spending my day with my best girl friend (and meeting her sweet baby boy!). Both our husbands are out at sea and we both said that if we can't spend it with our hubbies, we'd want to spend it with each other!

My sweet friend, Amber is due in May with her first baby and I got to do a painting for her nursery. Amber and her husband are leaving soon to head to Okinawa for a few years, so we are sad to see them go (right before the baby is born!) but excited for their new adventures.

Chris and Amber have been in Hawaii for over ten years and are big time surf lovers. So it was only appropriate to go with a surf/ocean theme for the nursery. She requested some custom colors on the wave and I love how this one turned out with the sunset oranges, purples and blues!

Here's the beautiful mama at her recent baby shower thrown by all of us girls.

And here's a shot that my friend Rachel got at the shower.

(More shower details to come later this week! :)

Have a fabulous day, friends! I'll leave you with one of my favorite verses that is an especially appropriate promise today!

  12. First of all, happy Valentine's Day and I'm sorry Chris is not there to spend it with you. :-( Second, this painting is awesome! I love the way you made the waves. I have a painting from Australia (I forget the term off the top of my head) and the painting is entirely made of those strokes and I just love it! And of course I am quite obsessing over my own AisletoAloha painting right now that I received last night from my sweet hubby. Hehehe. <3
