So, even though it's blazing hot out during the day here, I can't help but be obsessed with scarves lately. It may have something to do with my hunger for the cool fall weather, but I've bought two this week alone. The one I'm wearing here is my current fave. It's a little heavier than my others, so it's perfect for wearing something cozy paired with leggings with AC cranked up, or after sunset on a Friday night.

(Not that it has to be a Friday night. Tuesday would do too. Or Sunday, for that matter.)

Something else I'm obsessed with-- the band The Civil Wars. Their pandora station has been my constant companion during my painting sessions this week. Special thanks to Sarah who emailed me last week, suggesting a listen might help relieve a little stress. You must go listen-- perfect music for the fall!

I spent all day yesterday finishing up a bunch of custom paintings. I'm super excited to show them to you later this week. Stay tuned, yo.

So, um, is it just me, or do you wear scarves in warm weather too?

  21. ok. you seriously need to paint at least one thing that i DON'T love. i keep thinking - oh! that's the one i'm gonna buy! and then you post a new one that i love and another and another... it's paralyzing my ability to make a single purchase bc you've now trained me to wait for the next batch of gorgeousness! plus, it might be creepy-creeps if my whole house was covered in your art. someone might stage an intervention. ;)xo

  23. I love this look. It is HOT here and everyone does not believe me!!! I love the look of scarves but I don't wear them for that reason. The humidity is killer, I would die of heatstroke. lol.

  24. I am with you 100%! Thankfully, we had a freak 57 degree morning on Saturday and I felt a little more justified to wear a scarf (even if it WAS really light-weight) for an outing with my mom and aunt.

Oh, and The Civil Wars. LOVE. THEM. That is all.

    Happy Wednesday!

  25. I love scarves! I think I wore them often in Hawaii, and continue to fight the fact that it is crazy hella hot in Texas by wearing them here too. They are just a fun way of dressing up a simple outfit with color, texture, and that cozy, comfy feeling.

This video was posted on another blog I follow (a beautifully creative believer like you!)...you may have seen it, but just in case you hadn't, I figured I'd share. http://jonesdesigncompany.com/fashion/this-is-fun/
