oh baby:: 36 weeks!
The waiting game has begun. Technically, he could come any day now, but I'm thinking he's gonna wait until closer to his due date. I haven't had any contractions or hints at labor -- not even a Braxton Hicks. Not sure if this little guy is ready yet, but I'm definitely getting there.
I waffle between wanting him to come today and praying he waits a few more weeks. I still have lots on my to-do list including projects around the house, a haircut for this girl and a few special dates with Chris.
Nesting mode has hit big time. Last night I couldn't sleep so I was in the nursery at 2am putting together his packn'play/bassinet in my robe. I've become a little obsessed with getting his nursery squared away, even though he'll be sleeping in our room at first. Not like he will notice if the wall art is hung, but I think it will definitely put my mind at ease to finish before he gets here.
Thanks for all your incredibly helpful comments on last week's post about packing the hospital bag. I got so many different suggestions that have helped me narrow down what's essential and what's not. If I have time before Si arrives, I'll definitely share what we decided to pack!
I've had a few people comment that a 'dressing your bump' post could be helpful, so I'm planning on writing one up for the next week or two. It's been a fun challenge styling this growing belly and I hope I can share some useful tips!

You seriously make me want to be pregnant. So beautiful and such an amazing journey!
ReplyDeleteI saw your tweet last night and was thinking that was going to be me in a couple of weeks! and as usual, you look just completely adorable!
ReplyDeleteI am just a few weeks behind you! And nesting has definitely started for me too. I think it hilarious you mentioned that you were in the baby room putting things together at ungodly hours of the night because I had a dream that I was doing that exact same thing and then my husband found me laying in Noah's nursery, passed out, with all his clothes, toys, bouncers, and swing parts all around me! LOL! Soooo something I would actually do because I wanted to put everything together the second I got it! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy I'll be following your blog/twitter anxiously awaiting to hear all about the arrival of your sweet little boy!
ReplyDeleteHa! Too funny!
DeleteFun! I remember those days! I didn't get BH with either of my first two and they came 3 1/2 weeks early, so you never know! My last came a week early so she felt late! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh where oh where did you get your rug for his room?? Beautiful nursery coming together!
ReplyDeleteThe rug is from Urban Outfitters. :) They have lots of fun, affordable rugs, though they're not the greatest quality.
DeleteI never nested which was unfortunate. Maybe the next baby will cause me to nest...
ReplyDeleteYou look great!!! And I absolutely love your style! Would you be willing to do a post about the his nursery.... Where items are from, your inspiration behind the theme/colors, etc.?
ReplyDeleteHi! Yes, once it's all put together, I will definitely be doing a post about it, including sources. You can read more about the inspiration in my post here---http://www.hellohue.com/2012/04/what-will-he-do-with-his-one-wild-and.html
DeleteI love the nursury, your outfit, your baby bump! so. stinking. cute.
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks, Lindsy!
Deleteyour baby bump is so cute! You should for sure make sure you go on some dates with your hubby! It's very precious time for both of you as a family of 2!
ReplyDeleteYes, some dates are definitely in the plans! :)
DeleteYou look so Happy!!! the nursery is just perfect! hang in there! I hope you get all you wanted to get done before his arrival!!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you'd want to get the nursery all squared away, it's part of nesting!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think a dressing your bump post would be fun... I've been wondering about how you deal with the physical changes and how that changes the way you dress.
It's definitely a big change, but thankfully, it happens pretty slowly, so I've had time to adjust and get used to this "new" body!
Deleteall baby that's for sure. can't wait for him to get here. you are going to be such a cute young mom.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you! I can't wait either!
DeleteYou look fabulous! Love that skirt. Isn't it amazing how our bodies stretch like that? You are truly all bump. I was scrolling down to some of your older posts and saw the 35 week bump update. It looks like your belly has ever so slightly started to drop. I never had any BH contractions during my pregnancy. Guess my body didn't want to "practice." But I definitely knew when the real labor started.
ReplyDeleteLooking great, Lindsay! Enjoy this time. :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute are you?! All belly, Lindsay! Yay for nesting. Isn't it great to get so much done? Enjoy your last couple of weeks of being kidless. Your life is about to change in the GREATEST way EVER! xoxo
ReplyDeleteoh goodness, you just have the perfect belly!! :) and i'm loving your skirt. can't wait for the dressing your bump post. my last pregnancy, i didn't dress very cute, but this time around, i intend on looking a little more stylish (hopefully!)
ReplyDeletesuch a cute and round and perfect baby bump, i'm sure a perfect and cute baby boy will jump out in a few weeks. so precious!!! this baby is going to change your life completly, not always positiv but all the things babys and kids give too you is soo amazing!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! The nursery looks great so far– I'm loving all the colors I see. You also look amazing! I swear you have the best/cutest maternity wear ever.
ReplyDeleteThe nesting thing hit my husband before it hit me. I keep thinking that my little guy could come any day now too, but like you - I think he might wait. I'm just hoping not past my due date. You look great and the nursery looks like it's coming together perfectly!
ReplyDeleteDefining Tabitha
I can't believe it is getting so close! he'll be here before you know it and you won't remember life before him. <3 You look absolutely great, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe your almost done and he is almost here. I follow via instagram and subscribe via email. I just had my 3rd little babe 8 weeks ago so I don't make it on the computer a lot these days to comment. I think you have to be one of the cutest pregnant peeps I have seen. You are glowing and beaming. I just love babies and cannot wait to see your little babe.
