it's the little things:: he loves me so
Lately, I've been sick, I've been pregnant (duh) and maybe just a little bit needy. I've been kind of amazed and not the least bit surprised at how well Chris has loved me and taken care of me over the past few weeks. My heart spills over with joy when I think of all the little ways he loves me so well.
... he makes sure there are a few breakfast glasses on the lower shelf because this shortie can't climb up on the cabinet to snag them anymore.
... he brings me water in the morning before I even get up since he knows my throat has been hurting lately.
... as my body is changing and I feel a bit hesitant about it at times, he assures me that I'm beautiful and always will be.
... when I get a massive candy craving, he makes a date out of running to the mini mart for gummy colas and twix.
... he assures me that everything will work out with where we'll be in the next few months and continually tells me things about Florida that I'll love.
... when he makes a smoothie for himself in the morning, he saves some of it for me in the fridge so I can get some yummy nutrients first thing.
... he spends time in the Word each day and meets with a mentor every week. I'm thankful that he spends the time and effort to grow in God and become a better husband, father, and man.
... he acts ridiculously goofy, especially when I've had an especially hard day, just to cheer me up. And when that doesn't work, he just sits with me.
We don't always get along perfectly and we have our fair share of arguments but it's pretty amazing to see how God has put us together and how we've grown together over the past six years.

you two are soo cute!! :D i hope you remember all this when your little babe is here and you are both running on lack of sleep~! and you will always be beautiful lindsay!!
ReplyDeletethis is so sweet! I am happy to hear he is taking such good care of you. you two are so lucky to have each other.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog post for it but my little thing this week was teaching my 6 year old daughter to sew buttons by hand. We sat for two hours yesterday and sewed together and it made my heart so happy!
ReplyDeleteThat is precious. I remember sitting and learning to sew buttons with my mama, I bet she will cherish that memory! ;)
DeleteThat is so sweet, we've got a couple fantastic husbands!! Mine has been doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen for me every night because he knows it overwhelms me to wake up starving (with two toddlers who are also starving) and to have to clean out the entire sink before I can reach the egg pan and make breakfast. He even puts the egg pan on the stove for me, so it's ready ♡
ReplyDeleteoh, i love that, naomi! Those little things say so much about our men. Glad that yours is taking care of you too! ;)
Deletewhat an awesome man you have! so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post :)
ReplyDeleteaww cute!
ReplyDelete"he acts ridiculously goofy" -- my boyfriend does the same thing to cheer me up! It doesn't ALWAYS work, but it always puts into perspective what things matter and what things don't. :)

I have been following your blog for some time but I have not had an opportunity to post a comment. I was blessed by your post today. I have been married to my wonderful hubby for many years and we have 3 beautiful kidlets. I have found that the key to keeping my marriage STRONG and HEALTHY is to always stay friends - and ALWAYS make a mental note of when he is showing me love - in his way - not always in the ways I want/need to be loved. If I go to God first, all my needs and wants will be met in HIM! Then, all the ways my hubby loves me are sprinkles on top of the cupcake of life!! This post is so right and true...noticing all the ways our husbands love us makes us only fall more in love with them in return! I pray many blessings over your pregnancy and this special time with your husband before baby joins your family. From experience, life & marriage only gets better as the days turn into months and the months turn into years. Awesome post. Blessings to you today!
ReplyDeleteThis might be my favorite it's the little things post you have done. What an amazing husband to take care of you so well. So happy to see someone who struggled wit getting pregnant actually get pregnant and be so grateful to God for the wonderful blessing. I'm loving reading about the journey the Lord has put you and Chris on
ReplyDeleteHusbands are so good to us aren't they?!
ReplyDeleteAnd I too have recently moved to Florida...and I'm loving it. And while I'm sure it will pale in comparison to Hawaii, it's gorgeous & fun. We live by Eglin AFB...if you're headed close by I'd live to meet ya!
Your moving to Florida? I'm moving to Florida at the end of May! I love your post! I'll be linking up when it's afternoon nap time! because that will give me a little bit more time. :) I love it when husbands love their wives as much as God loves His church! My husband is good to me too!
ReplyDeleteHi there! I'm a new follower, so this is the first time I've heard of this... But I have a post today that I think relates coincidentally. :) So, thanks for hosting! Glad to hear you have a man that loves and cares for you! Everyone needs that support!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you linked up, Kassi! Your post was so sweet. Hope you'll join up again soon!
DeleteI live in St. Augustine, Florida and I love it:):) Where will you be stationed?
ReplyDeleteOh, we love St. Augustine! It's such a beautiful town! We'll be in Panama City, just for a short while. I have nothing against Florida itself, just feeling particularly emotional about leaving our home and dear friends here in Hawaii right before we have a baby!
DeleteMoving is already such a process and then add in hormones and it gets crazy i'm sure!! just know you have lots of people praying for you:)
DeleteSuper sweet post today! PTL for awesome men of God like your husband. =)
ReplyDeleteThis is just such a sweet post.. you are lucky to have such an amazing husband. And he's pretty darn lucky to have you as well!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll have some dreamy weekends at Sanibel Island in your future :)
ReplyDeleteHusbands are great, aren't they? My husband and I honeymooned in Panama City last year and had a blast...prayers for you and your move and getting settled!
ReplyDeletep.s....we live about five hours north of there in Alabama so you can rest assured you'll have some support in the southeast!
I'd be a mess pregnant without my husband! =)
ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly sweet! My hubby is a Captain in the USMC and is currently deployed. It sounds like we're both blessed to have awesome husbands. Also, thank you for leading me to your friend's blog, you both have your hearts set on God. It's great to read about lovely ladies and families who are following God, it's just few & far between these days. So, thank you.
ReplyDeleteFrom a fellow military wife I can relate to how transferring will be kinda scary. I know it will feel a little uneasy with being preggo too! I'll be praying for you two! We are getting out of the CG in may, and still no job! So we deff have been leaning on God during this time. :-) but like you said, the little things deff get us by.
ReplyDeleteAnd I lived in fl my whole life. It's quite awesome. ;-)
he is such a great husband and i'll always admire you guys and your marriage!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, did my heart melt or WHAT when I read this :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! :] It would be so much harder to get through pregnancy without wonderful, supportive husbands!
ReplyDeletelindsay, i just got around to reading your post from friday; this is such a sweet, sweet post. i can actually feel your love for chris oozing out of this post (and isn't "oozing" just the most awful word ever? yeah, it is; i couldn't think of another to go in it's place!). thank you so much for sharing.

ReplyDeleteHello everyone, am Hakan Parmaksiz by name. I am proud to testify this testimony. I saw a post on how a lady got her husband back and i decided to try the spell caster that helped her because my relationship was crashing. although i never believed in spell work i reluctantly tried him because i was desperate but to my greatest surprise the spell caster Dr Ebakor helped me get my Girl friend back after 5 month of break up and my relationship is now perfect just as he promised my Girl friend now treats me like a Prince even when she had told me before she doesn't love me anymore. well, i cannot say much but if you are passing through difficulties in your relationship contact him on his email: (Doctorebakorspelltemple@hotmail.com) he is the only answer to relationship problems once again his email is (Doctorebakorspelltemple@hotmail.com)
ReplyDelete'After being in relationship with Wilson for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that don't believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I meant a spell caster called Dr Zuma zuk and I email him, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the fake ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, his email: spiritualherbalisthealers@gmail.com you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or anything. CONTACT HIM NOW FOR SOLUTION TO ALL YOUR PROBLEMS'
