pier walking.
A few nights a week, we throw the babe in the car and walk the pier at the state park near us. It's the perfect no pressure way for me to get out of the house with Si without worrying if he'll start fussing any minute. Bearded fisherman, old wrinkly couples and pelicans are there too and we are usually treated to a gorgeous sunset. Last night was an especially gorgeous night, as the weather seems to be taking a turn towards cooler temperatures and the colors of the sunset were breathtaking. We watched dolphins swim by and stingrays chilling under the pier. Good bye to the weekend and hello to a shiny new week with my boys.
See?!?!! Florida's not so bad afterall! ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha, true. I'm still not sold on it, but I think it's probably not a fair fight after living in Hawaii. It definitely has its good points. ;)
Deletethat is just so awesome! I wish I lived near an ocean!! with dolphins and sting rays!! wow! so beautiful! Si is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour little boy is soooooo cute. I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my own little guy and I also live in Florida. I'm sure nothing can compare to Hawaii but luckily you still have a beach nearby :)
ReplyDeleteHe's so sweet! Love the pictures! :) You are so lucky that you live there. Dolphins, stingrays, fisherman and wow that sunset is beautiful! I've never been to Florida, but I'd love to visit one day!

Thankfully we're only here through one hurricane season and I think we're past the worst of it!

ReplyDeletestunning photos! I would love to live on the beach...lucky you
ReplyDeleteSilas it's too cute!
Thanks Briseidy! We are definitely blessed that the Navy takes us to lots of beautiful places!
DeleteGreat family time, and a great way for you to see something other than the nursery, living room, and kitchen.
ReplyDeleteYes, totally! At the end of the day, sometimes I just need to get out of the house!
Deletethe beach is awesome! i totally love these photos and your little boy is sooo handsome!
ReplyDeleteI really don't want to criticsm you, because i know that blogging is always only a little part of life and there is a lot more happening behind the camera, but i ask you to take a little bit more care of your boys head. I know it is hard to always hold his head and body but his head is the heaviest part of his body right now and his muscles are not strong enough to hold it himself so you have to help him and hold his head up. i did an internship with a midwife and one of the first things she taught me was to always hold babys head!!! she told me some awful stories (which i am not going to repeat here now). please just think about what i told you!
i am sure that you guys are perfect and loving parents! so don't be mad about what i wrote here. because i don't know what is happening behind the camera ;)
-love hannah
