a weekend in san diego.
Our San Diego trip was jam packed with visiting friends, eating all the food we can't get on Oahu and enjoying some chilly weather. I got to visit with a friend from college, Emily, and Hannah met me for breakfast at Panera. It was so good to hug her and finally get to chat face to face. Chris and I went shooting in the desert (Chris got a kick out of his pregnant wife shooting an assault rifle!) and we discovered that I'm actually a pretty good shot! ;) My paper plate target is residing on our fridge now...
It was so good to get away from island life for a little bit and enjoy the mainland. Definitely made us realize how much Oahu is home for us these days and it's going to be tough to leave it. But I think the promise of Chickfila is enough to soften the blow...
Maybe.

Haha I was going to say the same thing about you being preggers and shooting a rifle!
ReplyDeleteYou ate a lot of yummy food! We love panera...there chicken tortilla soup is soooo good!
ReplyDeleteIf we lived in Hawaii I would so struggle to be leaving...its so beautiful and just fun!
Chic-fil-a can solve a myriad of problems :)
ReplyDeleteThe pic with the rifle is priceless!!
ReplyDeleteSan Diego, shooting guns and Panera...looks like my kind of weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great trip!
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't tried the milkshakes and ice cream at Chick-fil-a yet, you must! I just moved north to Maine, and I miss Chick-fil-a shakes sooo much!
aw, you got to meet up with hannah – so cool! love those photos. we went to san diego once several years back. we camped out at coronado for the day and just enjoyed its beauty! and oh, chickfila (or, as my 2 year old says "chicalay"), i could eat it almost every night of the week! glad your trip was fun!
ReplyDeleteI recognize that pier and I know exactly where you went shooting :P. Sounds like you had a blast. I love living in San Diego ;).
ReplyDeleteIt looks like to had an absolutely wonderful trip! My husband and I used to live in Imperial Beach before the mean old Navy made us move away. Your picture of the pier made me so "home" sick!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful trip! Gotta love Panera and Chik-fil-a :)
ReplyDeleteYou shooting that gun with your pregnant belly is PRICELESS! LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeletelove your pics lindsay, your such a cute lil momma already :)
ReplyDeletePS - those gun pics are badass, love it!
Oh my goodness, those photos are awesome! Nothing beats a cute pregnant mama, all dressed up adorable like, with a gun in her hand! So glad you had a good time!!
ReplyDeleteYou are the cutest Lindsay! That photo of you with the gun and your bump cracks me up! Yes, FL definitely has plant of CFA. It is seriously an addiction. Our location likes to offer a free breakfast item every week, once a week. They switch it up each month. Just fuels the addiction.
ReplyDeleteI *may* have googlemapped the Chickfilas and Paneras in the area we'll be living..... *sheepish grin*
Deletephahaha! Love the picture of you and the rifle!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I highly applaud you for being a GORGEOUS lady, a gorgeous PREGNANT lady, with a gun. So BAD ASS. And beautiful. I'm an airsoft girl, so is my wife - we're both girly-girls, but we love us some gunnery. We love anything military. And... I don't know, you just ROCK!!!
ReplyDeleteWindansea? That was my fave when I lived in PB!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! I truly am drawn to beautiful photo as well, so you get double points on inspiring me today!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see this! My husband is in the Navy and in med school...and Navy docs usually do their residency at the top three Naval training hospitals, one of which is San Diego! So...we might be living there next summer! Even though it's exciting knowing we get to leave KS for the coast (YES!), it's also sad to think about leaving family behind. You're such an encouragement to me!
ReplyDeletesuch fun times...i'm craving some CFA now & i just had some for lunch. i have a problem ;)
ReplyDeleteThe guy at the gun shop told me to make sure my husband changes before hugging me after he shoots his gun since bullets contain lead. Not sure if there is an actual risk there, since he is not a doctor, but just a friendly heads up :)
