donuts on the beach.
On Saturday morning, Silas woke up at 6am after a full night's sleep. Yep, that little boy slept from 9pm to 6am without waking up once. (It hasn't happened since-- don't be too jealous.)
Fully rested, we decided to bundle up in our sweatshirts (which have barely seen the light of day in the last 3.5 years) and head to the beach with some donuts and hot coffee. I gobbled down a French cruller while my boys watched the waves. The cool air felt heavenly and I was just a little giddy about how cute Si looked in his new winter hat.
Of course, the next day, we were on the beach in bathing suits and trying to keep Si cool and out of the sun. Oh, Florida... Here's hoping for more cold weather coming our way. I could go for a few more bundled up mornings with my boys.
It is amazing what a full nights sleep will do for ya isn't it! Even like 4 hours sleep in a row feels great sometimes! Looks like you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to looking forward to cooler weather these days. We're still pretty warm here in Sicily... but the colder weather is a-comin'! Until then, donuts sound like a GREAT idea.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I would love to live close to the beach, so Brian and I could have mornings like this.
ReplyDeleteSi is getting so big! :) And I can't believe how great you look! You are so in shape - that's awesome!

ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! Si is so super cute! The weather here in TN has been kinda crazy with the ups and downs too! I'm kinda hoping for a cold snap, but not sure that I want to completely give up the warm weather yet.
ReplyDeleteThe hat is adorable. Where is it from?
ReplyDeleteAnd you are doing a fabulous job mama. I have been following along on the blog/instagram/twitter and haven't commented. But keep your chin up. As the phases change you and your paints will become best friends again. And Si will let you work eventually too!
